By lifting weights, you will build bulk 

This is one of the most common myths around female fitness. Even if women and men follow the same procedures for muscle training and lift weights, women do not build bulk in the same manner as men do.

By working out, you will be strengthening your muscles. Being a woman, you do not possess the same testosterone levels as a male does. Consequently, even with years of weight training, it is not possible for a woman to build bulk muscle as easily as a man.

When you stop working out, your muscles will turn to fat

This is another very common myth which seems to have been around for ages. Muscle cells are developed when you work out and they progressively get stronger. When you stop working out, these muscle cells slowly begin losing their strength through a process known as atrophy. Muscles never turn to fat. The only way that you build up fat is by consuming more calories than you use up.

Workouts offer best results if done early in the morning

All over the world there is a myth that a workout will offer the best results if done early in the morning and on an empty stomach. The fact, however, is that there is no such evidence that points towards this. A workout, if properly followed, can yield equally good results at any point of time in the day.

Intense workouts are required to burn fat

Most people believe that the fastest way to get rid of body fat is to indulge in intense fat burning workouts. This is very far from the truth and the only way that you can get rid of excess fat is to burn up more calories than you consume. This will happen over time, provided you follow a proper exercise routine and watch your food and not by killing yourself with a harsh workout regime.

Women do not require supplements

Supplements are not required only if a woman receives an extremely well-balanced and clean diet which contains all essential nutrients including proteins and multivitamins. However, given today’s fast paced world, getting such meals fixed on a regular basis can prove to be extremely difficult. As such, women may very well resort to multivitamin supplements and fish oil supplements. While protein supplements are generally not required, make sure to include enough protein in your everyday diet.
